Recently had a sudden remembrance of this place, and with no activity in 2 years, I'm surprised to see this place still standing. I know this was a place where a limited number of us moved to after the shut down of the XSeed forums, and it was always interesting seeing the thoughts of users there and here on the games.
Crazy that we are getting a Sky Remake in 1.5 months, and that by January next year, we will be completely caught up with the series here in the West. Long gone are the days of hoping SC would release and the series felt doomed to fail. I still have my misgivings on the series, especially later Cold Steel games, but it's been a wild ride.
Been enjoying the Calvard games. Daybreak 1 was enjoyable, but I ended up being an outlier with Daybreak 2, being someone who felt it was one of the stronger games in quite a while. Strong character focused game with a lot of big emotional moments that I loved.
Don't know if anybody really checks this site anymore, but if you see this, hope things are going well for you. It's crazy times we are going through, to put it lightly. I hope those of you who were following the Japanese releases enjoyed Kai, and hope you are excited for the Remake. Here's to seeing the rest of the series unfold, and I look forward to experience Beyond the Horizon in January and seeing what's in store for Trails next year.
Heya! And thanks, things are going fine for me at least, mea culpa on not being around in the forums for ages but I have no intention of letting the site lapse. Even if I've been, uh, not diligent at all about working on some of the stuff I wanted to use the site for in the first place.

Yeah, it's going to be an amazing couple of months for the fandom between Sky's remake, being caught up with Horizon in January and in between that getting Ys vs Trails to boot. Hopefully the remake brings in a lot of new fans, I know I'm excited to play the full thing after having a blast with the demo.
Glad to see a response, happy to hear from you. Tried some other places that aren't Falcom/Trails specific, but the conversations there haven't been nearly as engaging as what I had here. I can imagine life can make it hard to keep up with everything. Only reason those few years ago I managed to do the replay thread and post so much was that it was a way to escape the stress of work that was slowly killing me inside. Thankfully my work situation and work/life balance is much better now.Heya! Got to play the demo, and while it's a shame the XSeed script isn't there, everything else about the game has me so giddy. FC is still my favorite of the series, so seeing everything in 3D and exploring familiar places in a new way had me smiling and tears of joy coming out. Glad to see that the range of expressions they can do in scenes has drastically increased, and with the fluid motions, it's showing to be a perfect recreation so far of the game in 3D. 3 weeks to go!
I've been doing well! Been more busy than usual and primarily still a lurker on most days, but I'm still hoping to do a series-wide replay and maybe share my thoughts as I go at some point!
Not too long ago, I got through Horizon, finally being caught up on the series. Still crazy to think that it has finally happened. Pretty good game, though I do feel like it struggled to build up a more coherent story that felt like you got a satisfying story at the end on top of having a cliffhanger to make you look forward to more. Also felt like the stuff that Van's group focused on mid to late game was pretty uninteresting, as that aspect seems like it's being held off for the next game. Still, that final part and the ending stuff of the Grim Garten had the game end on a pretty strong note. Now the question is after the SC remake this year is are we getting the Horizon sequel next year?
